    Illustrator Tutorial, Crop Tool

One of the questions I get asked on Illustrator Training Courses is ‘How do I crop an Image in Illustrator’?  Quite simply in earlier versions the answer was you can’t. We used clipping masks and workarounds in those early versions.

However that’s all changed in Illustrator CC because now it comes fully equipped with a crop tool

Pantone Colour of the Year – 18-3838

Posted on 28th December 2017 by Greta Powell

18-3838 – Pantone Colour of the year

So sometimes I do ‘get it right’ – my website had a major overhaul earlier this year but we opted to keep the same colour theme as the previous one and yes its pretty much the same shade as 18-3838. Its very rare when training most days that Pantone Swatches don’t get a mention, its normally the opposite

    Short History of Pantone Colours

Pantone began life in the early 1950’s owned by the printers M & J. Levine Advertising but the foundations that are known today were founded in 1962 when it was purchased by a long term employee Lawrence Herbert who’d been there since 1956 (my birth year – weird or what?)

    Adobe Training Midlands

    Adobe Training Courses Midlands

It can cost a fortune getting your images tweaked and your designs laid out when many of those ‘small jobs’ can be done in-house by one or more of your staff. Just think how much you spend on external designers just to remove white backgrounds, lay out flyers, design and update your social media banners and imagery, create business stationary etc – and that’s only the tip of the iceberg.

Acquiring digital design skills to produce professional looking documents and images is not rocket science – it is straightforward and easily arranged. I provide training for 1 to 1 sessions and company groups onsite across the Midlands and the UK from as little as £275.00 per day for one delegate, subsequent delegates are £75.00 per day each. To get a team of four up to speed in digital design you would be looking at a total of *£500.00 per day.

*Depending on location individuals may pay travel expenses

Because this is private Adobe tuition you can be very selective about the content. Whether you need to create banners for social media, enhance an image or use the Interactive elements in InDesign then get in touch and we can work together to come up with the training you need (not what someone else thinks you need). If you have more specific projects such as connecting to databases to produce large catalogues then again please don’t hesitate to get in touch for an informal chat.

    As always

Thank you for visiting this post
