Affinity Training Courses FAQ
How does Affinity Studio work and what is it?
- One App, No Switching: Think of it as having Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign under one roof. You can edit a photo, design a logo, and lay out a brochure in the same file without switching applications.
- “Studios” (Workspaces): You toggle between “Pixel” (photo editing), “Vector” (design), and “Layout” (publishing) modes instantly, allowing for a seamless workflow.
- It’s Free (mostly): The core professional software is now completely free to use forever. It is a major, non-subscription alternative to Adobe.
- What’s the Catch? Advanced AI tools (like magic object removal or auto-expanding images) are part of a premium tier that requires a paid Canva subscription, but the core tools are free.
- Updated Features: It includes new tools like Image Trace (turning photos into editable vectors), mesh gradients, and faster, high-performance rendering for large files.
