Design Marketing Materials in InDesign
This InDesign Training Course, Worcestershire was tailored for our client who runs a boutique hotel, spa & golf course in Worcestershire. The brief was a straightforward one, the delegate was a complete newcomer to the software who wanted to bring her outsourcing costs down by designing her own marketing materials in-house.
One of her pressing needs was designing some marketing materials printed externally in time for Mothers Day which is coming up very shortly.
Whilst learning the software she created a variety of different designs such as name badges, leaflets, small brochures and so forth.
InDesign Examples
These are quite typical of the type of designs that can are produced by delegates after just a few hours on the InDesign Introduction Course which starts from the ground up then builds by designing a variety of different spreads and layouts. It is straightforward to tailor training around individual needs and design for your company.
A5 Card – Landscape
The delegate produced this small A5 landscape card promoting Mothers Day while working with InDesign during the morning.
The delegate was completely new to InDesign and her intention was to create business literature for her company. One of the first things we put together was this small card promoting Mothers Day.
She was able to produce this promotional card with just a couple of hours training.
We also looked creating other publications including small promotional handouts and product catalogues for the beauty products sold at the spa.
We started by looking at different setups and how to create custom documents using printer marks (bleed etc), document page size and orientation then went on to design a wide variety of designs.

Formatting & Editing Text
Creating Vector Shapes
Name Badge
We also designed name badges for the spa treatment centre which meant we took an in-depth look at the Adobe Typekit so that she could choose a font for her business.
Typekit is Adobe’s Web Font service which is available as part of your online subscription. If you don’t have a subscription to Adobe CC then you will need to check Adobe’s T&C’s as not all of the fonts are free.
When designing this name badge we also delved into Photoshop to add a brush stroke to this particular badge.
Nothing is cast in stone with any of our Adobe Training Courses.
The content can be mixed and matched together within InDesign or content from other courses such as the Photoshop Introduction Course can be combined for a tailored course. uch as an InDesign & Photoshop combo course to give you skills in both image editing and document layout. You can tailor a course completely around you by adding /removing content from the InDesign Course or adding your own.
